Texas State Veterans Homes

Texas General Land Office, Texas Veterans Land Board, Texas State Veterans Homes
Long-term nursing and memory care at daily rates well below the national average

You can get affordable long-term nursing care at one of ten Texas State Veterans Homes, in Amarillo, Big Spring, Bonham, El Paso, Floresville, Houston, McAllen, Temple, Tyler and Fort Worth. Each home offers physical, occupational and speech therapy plus equine, art, music and pet therapy, private or semi-private rooms depending on availability, and a memory care unit for specialized care in a secure setting. Staff are trained to understand military service and post-traumatic stress. The VA subsidizes medication and much of the cost of your stay, so daily out-of-pocket rates are well below the national average.
