If you have a disability, you can be reviewed and hired for Utah state employment non-competitively. You start in a time-limited position with a six-month on-the-job trial period, and if you are performing well at the end of it you convert to a career-service position and begin the regular probationary period for the job.

Documentation of your disability: Social Security Disability Insurance or Supplemental Security Income paperwork, a VA certification, a letter from Vocational Rehabilitation, a letter on a physician’s letterhead signed by the physician, or a Schedule A letter.
