Utah Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption

Local Utah county auditor or treasurer where the property is located
Up to $521,620 of taxable value exempt, scaled to your disability percentage

You can claim a property tax exemption of up to $521,620 of the taxable value of your residence, or of personal property, if you have a service-connected disability rating of 10 percent or more. The amount you get is scaled to your rating: at 100 percent you claim the whole authorized exemption, and below 100 percent you claim the same percentage of it as your disability percentage.

Eligibility

  • You have a service-connected disability rating of 10 percent or more from the VA
  • You own the residence or the personal property you are claiming the exemption on
  • You file the application with the county auditor or treasurer where the property is located
