Purple Heart recipients can get a Purple Heart, Combat Wounded licence plate and are exempt from the fees for the plate and for their vehicle registration. Regular property tax fees still apply. The plate can be personalized.

How to apply

Apply at a Utah Division of Motor Vehicles office, online through the Utah Motor Vehicle Portal, or by mail, and include your proof that you received the Purple Heart.

What you'll need

A copy of your Military Order of the Purple Heart membership card, or a copy of your DD214 showing that you received the Purple Heart.
