Vermont Employees Authorized Leave for Military Training

Your Vermont employer, under state law
15 days of military leave per calendar year, with reinstatement rights

You are entitled to a leave of absence from your Vermont job for 15 days in any calendar year for military drill, training or other temporary duty under military authority if you serve in a reserve component of the U.S. Armed Forces. Whether the leave is paid is up to your employer. When you come back you must be returned to your previous position with the same status, pay and seniority, including the seniority that built up while you were away.
