Vermont Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children

Vermont Agency of Education, through the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission
Enrollment, placement, eligibility and graduation protections for military children

Vermont belongs to the interstate compact that smooths school transitions for military children. It speeds up enrollment when records have not arrived from the previous district, stops differences in attendance rules, scheduling, sequencing, grading, course content and assessment from disadvantaging your child, protects eligibility for educational programs and extracurricular academic, athletic and social activities, and helps your child graduate on time.
