Report the injury or illness through your chain of command and file a workers compensation claim. Your unit administrator can start the paperwork.

What you'll need

Your state active duty orders, a line of duty determination, and your medical records for the injury or illness.

Eligibility

  • You are a Vermont National Guard service member, or the survivor of one
  • You were serving on state active duty
  • You were injured, became ill, became disabled or died in that service
