If you are stationed in Vermont on active duty but are not a Vermont resident, you can buy Vermont hunting, fishing or combination licenses at resident prices.

How to apply

Buy the licence at the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department main office in Montpelier, online through the department’s licence webpage, or from a department licence agent. For help call 802-828-1190 or email fwinformation@vermont.gov.

What you'll need

Your military ID and orders showing you are stationed in Vermont, and your hunter education certificate if you are buying a hunting or combination license.

Eligibility

  • You are a nonresident service member serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces
  • You are stationed in Vermont
  • If you are buying a hunting or combination license, you meet the Vermont hunting license requirements
