If you are a resident surviving spouse receiving a Survivor Benefit Plan, Reserve Component Survivor Benefit Plan or Retired Serviceman’s Family Protection Plan annuity, you can subtract $40,000 from your Virginia taxable income.

  • You are a Virginia resident filing a Virginia income tax return
