You can get up to $9,000 per fiscal year toward tuition if you serve in the Virginia National Guard. It pays for one degree or credential at each level up to a doctorate, at any accredited not-for-profit school with a physical location in Virginia. You have to use all available federal tuition assistance first, and you owe two more years in the Virginia National Guard after the last term you use it for.
Complete the online application on the VNGSTAP information and application page. There are three application windows each year: September 15 through November 1 for the spring semester, February 15 through April 1 for the summer session, and May 15 through July 1 for the fall semester.
