Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs Counseling and Wellness Program

Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA)
Free community-based counseling for veterans, service members and their families

You can get free outreach and counseling for problems related to post-traumatic stress. The programme is community based, less formal than clinical care and offers the highest level of confidentiality possible, with individual, couples, family and veteran group counseling. Some contractors run groups for women veterans and for spouses of veterans. You can be referred on to specialized inpatient or outpatient treatment at a VA medical center or Vet Center in Washington. You do not need a VA service-connected disability, and priority goes to those who are most vulnerable or have no other reasonable option for care.
