Washington State Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children

Washington State school districts, through the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission
Enrollment, placement, eligibility and graduation protections for military children

Washington belongs to the interstate compact that smooths school transitions for military children. It speeds up enrollment when records have not arrived from the previous district, keeps differences in attendance rules, scheduling, sequencing, grading, course content and assessment from holding your child back, protects eligibility for educational programs and for academic, athletic and social activities, and works toward on-time graduation.
