You can add service award emblems to any Washington licence plate type. You choose one of 8 large emblems and two of 26 smaller emblems. Applying by mail costs $18.
Apply at any Washington State vehicle licensing office, or mail the Veteran/Military Service Award Emblem application with your proof of eligibility and a check or money order for $18 to Special Plate Unit, Application and Issuance, Department of Licensing, PO Box 9048, Olympia WA 98507.
Proof of eligibility such as your DD214, official orders or other service documentation, and $18 if you apply by mail.
