Washington State Operation Recognition High School Diplomas for Wartime Veterans

High school diploma awarded

You can be awarded a Washington high school diploma if you left high school before graduating to serve in World War II, Korea or Vietnam. You still qualify if you later earned a GED, and a diploma can be awarded after death for a deceased veteran.

How to apply

Send the Operation Recognition application and official documentation of your honorable discharge to the high school you would have graduated from, a high school in your local community, or a high school you have substantial ties to.

What you'll need

A completed Operation Recognition application and official documentation that you received an honorable discharge, such as your DD214.

Eligibility

  • You were scheduled to graduate and left high school to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II, Korea or Vietnam
  • You received an honorable discharge
