You can claim temporary income if you lose your job through no fault of your own. It replaces part of your lost wages while you look for work and is not based on financial need. What you can receive is calculated from the work you performed and the wages you earned in the 18 months before you file. Employers pay the whole cost of the programme.
File online through the Employment Security Department eServices application, or call the Claims Center at 800-318-6022 Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. except holidays.
Your Social Security number; your name, birthdate, mailing address, phone number and email; your Washington driver licence or ID number; the names and mailing addresses of every employer in the past 18 months, including part-time and temporary jobs, and the dates you worked for them; your union name and local number if you have one; your DD214 member copy 2 through 8 if you served in the past 18 months; an SF8 or SF50 if you were a federal employee in the past 18 months; work authorization information if you are not a U.S. citizen; and your bank account and routing numbers for direct deposit.
