Paid conservation internships with training and transition support

You can take a paid internship working with environmental and agricultural partners on ecosystem restoration projects. Interns get hands-on training in habitat restoration, farming and environmental research, specialized training and resources for the move from military to civilian life, and support focused on social, emotional, psychological and physical well-being.

How to apply

Choose a Veterans Conservation Corps internship and submit your application package. For help call 360-870-0729 or 800-562-2308, or email vcc@dva.wa.gov.

What you'll need

Your DD214 or service discharge certificate, or your military ID if you are still serving; a government-issued photo ID such as a driver licence; a resume; a cover letter about why you want the internship; and the title of the internship you are applying for.

Eligibility

  • You served in the U.S. Armed Forces, or you are currently serving in an active or reserve component
  • You are applying for a specific Veterans Conservation Corps internship
