If you are a disabled veteran who is also mobility impaired, you can get this version of the Disabled Veteran plate. A licensed physician has to certify your application.

Complete the West Virginia Application for a Disabled Veteran Mobility Impaired License Plate, have a licensed physician certify it, have it certified by a West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance benefits office, and submit it to the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles.

What you'll need

The application with a licensed physician’s certification of your mobility impairment, plus your VA rating letter or adapted vehicle grant documentation.

Eligibility

  • You are a West Virginia vehicle owner
  • You qualify for the West Virginia Disabled Veteran license plate
  • You are mobility impaired and a licensed physician certifies it on your application
