What you'll need

Your orders showing you are stationed outside West Virginia, proof of West Virginia residency, and the registration for the vehicle you are claiming.

  • You are a West Virginia resident
  • You are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces and are stationed outside West Virginia
  • You are claiming the exemption for one vehicle
