Veterans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces can get a West Virginia Veteran license plate for a passenger car, truck or motorcycle. Your unremarried surviving spouse can keep the plate until it is not renewed, or until their death.
Complete the West Virginia Application for a Veteran License Plate, have it certified by a West Virginia Department of Veterans Assistance benefits office, and submit it to the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles.
