Every Wisconsin National Guard member is covered for $1,000 at no cost, and new enlistees get $10,000 of no-cost coverage for their first year. You can buy up to $45,000 of coverage in total by combining the plans, and add your spouse and children. There is no war or aviation exclusion, no hazardous duty or civilian occupation restriction, cover applies 24 hours a day all year, and premiums can be taken from your drill pay. You can keep the term coverage until age 70, a spouse must be under 60 to be added, and children are covered to age 21, or 27 if a full-time student.
