Wisconsin State Employment Military Leave Benefit

Wisconsin Department of Administration, Division of Personnel Management
30 days of paid military leave per year, paid as the difference between state salary and military base pay

As a permanent Wisconsin state employee serving in a reserve component, you get 30 days of paid military leave a year without losing benefits, for military schools, annual field training, or state or federal active duty. The absence has to be longer than three days, and those days do not have to be workdays. While on military leave you are paid the difference between your state salary and your military base pay. If you go on extended military leave and return to your state job, you get credit for annual leave, sick leave and legal holidays as though you had never left.
