Wyoming Military Funeral Honors Program (MFHP)

Wyoming Military Department, Wyoming Army National Guard Military Funeral Honors Program

You can have military funeral honors rendered at your funeral, including at a minimum the sounding of Taps and the folding and presentation of the U.S. flag to your next of kin. The program coordinates the participating agencies so that honors are conducted with dignity and meet an acceptable military standard.

How to apply

Your family or funeral director submits the Wyoming Military Funeral Honors request and confirmation form electronically from the bottom of the program webpage, or calls 307-772-5136 or 307-262-7370, or emails wyarng-mfh@army.mil.

What you'll need

The veteran DD214 or other proof of qualifying service and discharge, the death certificate, and the date, time and location of the funeral.

Eligibility

  • The veteran died while serving in an active or reserve component of the U.S. Armed Forces, or was discharged from active duty under conditions other than dishonorable, or completed at least one term of enlistment or period of initial obligated service in a reserve component and was discharged under conditions other than dishonorable, or was discharged from a reserve component because of a disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty
