Every Wyoming National Guard member is covered by $1,000 of state sponsored life insurance at no cost, and you can buy more through voluntary group policies that together offer over $1,000,000 of coverage. Coverage is available for your spouse and children, runs 24 hours a day all year, carries no war or aviation exclusion, and its rates do not increase. New recruits get $10,000 of coverage free for their first year of service if they enroll within 180 days of joining. You can keep the coverage after you separate from the Guard.
