Tuition for up to eight semesters, used within eight years

Check eligibility

How to apply

Contact the admissions office of the community college or University of Wyoming campus where you plan to enroll. That office determines your eligibility and applies the exemption; there is no central state application.

What you'll need

Your DD214 showing an honorable discharge and the qualifying expeditionary or campaign medal, and proof that you lived in Wyoming for at least a year before you entered active duty. Survivors need documentation of the service member death on active duty and a marriage or birth certificate showing the relationship.

Eligibility

  • You were a Wyoming resident for at least one year before you entered active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, or you are the surviving spouse or child of a service member who died while serving on active duty
  • If you are applying as the veteran, you received an honorable discharge and were awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal or another authorized service or campaign medal for service during an armed conflict in a foreign country
  • If you are applying as a surviving child, you were under 22 years old when your parent died
