Wyoming Veterans' Guardianships

Wyoming courts, with assistance from the Wyoming Veterans Commission

The Wyoming Uniform Veterans Guardianship Act lets a court appoint a guardian to act for a Wyoming resident veteran, or their dependent, who has been determined unable to handle their personal estate because of age, infirmity or disability and who is eligible for VA benefits.

Contact the Wyoming Veterans Commission at 800-833-5987 or use its online contact page. The guardianship itself is established through the Wyoming courts.

What you'll need

Medical or other evidence that the person cannot manage their own estate, proof of eligibility for VA benefits, and proof of Wyoming residency.

Eligibility

  • You are a Wyoming resident veteran, or the dependent of one
  • You have been determined unable to handle your personal estate because of age, infirmity or disability
  • You are eligible for VA benefits
