DC Policy and Operations manager

About the Role

As the Policy and Operations Manager, you will coordinate policy alignment, operational execution, and government facing initiatives that support TurboVets’ mission at the national level. You will work at the intersection of policy, operations, and strategic programs, ensuring our efforts remain aligned with federal partners, compliant with expectations, and operationally sound across all engagements. You will collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders to turn policy requirements into clear operational plans and measurable outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage policy coordination and operational execution for Washington DC based initiatives

  • Support alignment across federal stakeholders, internal teams, and partner organizations

  • Translate policy requirements into actionable frameworks, processes, and communication plans

  • Lead preparation for meetings, policy reviews, and operational briefings with government officials

  • Monitor regulatory changes, policy shifts, and emerging directives that impact program operations

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure policy driven requirements are implemented correctly

  • Manage documentation, reporting, and structured communication across policy and operational workstreams

  • Identify risks, track dependencies, and support readiness for high impact events

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 plus years of experience in policy operations, government affairs, or federal program coordination

  • Familiarity with federal policy environments, defense related organizations, or regulated domains

  • Strong understanding of structured communication, briefing preparation, and interagency coordination

  • Experience turning policy or regulatory requirements into clear operational processes

  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non technical audiences

  • Bonus experience with program management, national security environments, or DC based federal work
