Engineering Team Lead

About the Role

As an Engineering Team Lead, you will guide a high performing engineering group responsible for delivering core features and systems across the TurboVets platform. You will provide technical direction, support execution, and ensure your team ships high quality software with speed and clarity. You will work closely with Product, Design, and cross functional leaders to translate strategy into engineering plans while mentoring engineers and maintaining strong operational discipline.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a team of engineers through planning, execution, and delivery
Provide technical guidance on architecture, design, and system level decisions
Ensure engineering work aligns with product requirements, timelines, and quality standards
Collaborate with cross functional teams to define priorities and unblock dependencies
Review code, support best practices, and maintain engineering excellence
Mentor engineers, support growth, and foster a collaborative, ownership driven culture
Monitor team performance, delivery health, and operational readiness
Support documentation, communication, and predictable delivery processes

QUALIFICATIONS

5 plus years of software engineering experience, including leadership or mentorship responsibilities
Strong technical background in modern backend and or frontend systems
Experience guiding engineering design discussions and architectural decisions
Ability to manage timelines, cross functional coordination, and delivery expectations
Strong communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with agile development, CI workflows, and cloud based environments
Bonus experience scaling teams or building systems in high growth settings
